JPR: What has the band members been up to in the last year?

去年はアクセントのメンバーは何をしていましたか。

Kanon: I read many comic books and normal books.

マンガや本をたくさん読みました。

Haru: Since I had a lot of time, I explored new hobbies.

自分の時間が増えたことで新しい趣味を見つけたりしました。

Fumi: I watched some videos about wonders of the world, studied, and so on.

世界の不思議についての動画を観たり、勉強したりしてました。

JPR: How has everyone been passing their time during the pandemic?

パンデミックの間、どのように時間を過ごしていますか？

There haven't been many events and contests to participate in, so we have been working on our live streams and our mini album project instead.

ライブやコンテストへの参加があまりできなかったので、ライブ配信やCD制作を頑張りました！

JPR: Can you tell us more about this GemRock Jam coming up?

開催が迫ったジェムロックジャムについて教えてください。

27 artists/groups of our generation (under 15) are performing in GemRock Jam.
Although the performances are pre-recorded, the artists/groups will be talking on the live stream.
And the most exciting part is six collaboration projects! Accént members are in some of them too.
Accént will be in the show on both days.

同年代（15歳以下）の活躍している27組ものアーティストが出演します。
それぞれの演奏は収録ですが、生トークを交えたライブ配信になっています。
6組のスペシャルコラボバンドがあるのが見どころで、Accéntのメンバーがいずれかのコラボ全てに参加しています。Accéntは2日とも出演します！

JPR: What new projects are you working on?

何か新しいプロジェクトがあれば教えてください。

Our third CD will be released on August 28. We got involved with every production process as much as possible from sound mixing to jacket design. It also will be available online on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. This is the first time for us to get our music on online distribution services.

8/28に発売する3rd CDの制作は、自分たちでサウンドやジャケットデザイン等のプロデュースにチャレンジしました。今回は音楽サブスクリプションも初めて行います。

JPR: Did you watch any of the Olympics and, if so, what was your favorite events?

オリンピックは見ましたか？どの競技が面白かったですか？

Kanon: I was moved by how beautiful the mat used in rhythmic gymnastics is.

新体操（女子）のマットが綺麗で感動しました。

Haru: Triple backflip in BMX was amazing.

バイクで3回転するのが面白かった。

Fumi: I didn't watch at all...

観ていません。。

JPR: Tell us about your favorite performance in your career.

ミュージシャンとしてのキャリアの中でお気に入りのパフォーマンスについて教えてください。

We think we did well at our first solo concert in October 2020. It took a lot of effort. We had more songs to perform and more things to prepare than usual. But it led to a great sense of accomplishment.

昨年の10月に行った初ワンマンライブが上手くいきました。
普段のライブよりも曲数や決める事が多く準備が大変だったけど、終わった後の達成感が一番強かったです。

JPR: Do you have a specific song you like to perform?

何か演奏したい特定の曲はありますか？

Kanon: I want to try "YYZ" by Rush!

「YYZ / Rush」に挑戦してみたい！

Haru: "Obenkyou Shitoiteyo" by Zutto Mayonaka de Iinoni

「お勉強しといてよ / ずっと真夜中でいいのに。」

Fumi: "Led Boots" by Jeff Beck, which I performed in Drummer's High. I want to perform it again as a band.

JPR: Do you follow a process or ritual before a performance to get rid of nerves or performance anxiety?

本番前の緊張や不安を断ち切るための儀式のようなものはありますか？

We don't have any specific ritual, but we talk to each other before the stage to uplift our mood.

本番直前に3人で掛け声をかけて気持ちを高めています。

JPR: Describe your favorite and least favorite part about being a musician.

ミュージシャンであることの一番好きなことと一番イヤなことを教えてください。

Kanon: I enjoy playing the guitar, so that's my favorite part. My least favorite part is that I need to practice consistently. I don't like practicing...

ギター弾いているのが楽しい。でもコツコツ練習は好きではない。。

Haru: My favorite part is that we can create a song in the way we want it to be. I don't like practicing either...

バンドでやりたい曲を形にできることが好きなこと。コツコツ練習は苦手です。。

Fumi: My favorite part is that I can connect with various people through music. But I try not to talk about music with my non-musician friends because they might think that I'm bragging about my music career and I hate it.

いろんな人と音楽で繋がれることが好きです。友達に音楽活動の事を話したいけど、自慢のようになって話しにくいのがイヤです。

We're having "Live Stream on YouTube col.16" on September 26 at 19:00 JST.
